HUNDREDS of families from Penarth, Llandough, Dinas Powys and surrounding areas turned out for the exclusive live performance by the real Sportacus at Asda Leckwith Road.
Despite the drizzle, the crowd were eagerly awaiting the arrival of their hero Sportacus on Wednesday, August 12, and he soon had children and adults alike dancing and exercising to the music, as part of his world famous show.
Before the start of the show, Sportacus took time out to meet some very special VIPs from Sully's Ty Hafan hospice, as five young children got to meet him in person, get their photos taken and take away a signed photo too.
Tony Humphreys, Asda Leckwith Road General Store Manager, said: "Sportacus was incredible with the kids, and everyone had such a fantastic time.
"Aside from the fun, there was a really important reason for him being here – encouraging Welsh kids to get active and healthy. We were thrilled to get so much support from local people and hope he'll be an inspiration to kids and colleagues alike!"
Sportacus appeared on a specially constructed stage at the store, to bring his special blend of educational fun to an eager audience – in one of only four performances nationwide.
LazyTown creator, Magnus Scheving, said: "LazyTown's mission is to move the world and inspire children to eat healthy food and move through play."
